Robyn Hart-Melanson has been the founder and director of Stage One Dance Studio since it's opening in 1990. Her dance background includes over 25 years of experience as a performer, instructor, choreographer and coach. Robyn has studied classical dance (jazz, ballet and tap) at a number of prestigious academies over the years including Fullerton College where she coached and choreographed from 1990 to 1995. Robyn's passion for dance and her innate ability to teach others has been the key to her continued success.

Along with her classical dance training Robyn also has an extensive background in the diversified world of cheerleading and precision dance teams. She was an NFL cheerleader and choreographer for a number of professional dance teams including the Los Angeles Rams Cheerleaders, the San Diego Charger Girls, the Anaheim Splash Mermaids, and the Anaheim Piranha Girls. Robyn has traveled throughout the U.S. as a featured performer in numerous events including the Rio Hotel and the Mirage Super bowls in Las Vegas as well as the world famous sports tradeshow "The Super show" in Atlanta.

She has represented and performed for the NFL in St. Louis Missouri, Honolulu Hawaii and for the AFL (Arena Football League) throughout New York and Canada. Robyn was featured in T.V. commercials for ABC's "Monday Night Live, and was a member of the "Big Show" on Fox Sports Net and Extra Sports 690. Although Robyn has always enjoyed performing, her proudest moments are not those of her own but those of her students. Robyn's creativity and unique choreography have been recognized with numerous Overall and High Point awards including the elite honor of "Star Showcase Choreographer" at the Kids Artistic Revue Nationals.

She has received Top Studio honors, Grand Championships and cash awards as both an instructor and director. Robyn is extremely proud of Stage One's accomplishments, it's amazing staff and the students who make her smile each day.

Kara Fleming has been the Artistic Director and Head Instructor for Stage One Dance Studio for the past 16 years. During her tenure Kara’s dancing career has included instructing students of all ages, choreography and judging. Kara has accumulated over 30 years of dance and competition experience and has been instructing dance for more than 20 years. Kara’s dancing career began at local dance studios and progressed onto the high school and then college dance and cheer teams. She has choreographed for many high school and college dance productions, Christmas Pageants, the Mark & Brian Thanksgiving Parade as well as the John Powers & Associates Ipop Awards. She has also coached both high school and college pep squads. Kara has danced in and choreographed for regional and national dance competitions in Las Vegas, San Diego, Palm Springs and many local competitions and shows. Kara has received numerous awards during her dancing career for both dancing and choreography, including Top Firsts, Platinum’s, Overall High Point awards, Top Choreographer, Director’s Choice Awards and Most Entertaining awards.

Shelby Kielich has shown her devotion for dance for last 17 years. Shelby joined Stage One Dance Studio as a student at the age of 5 and as a teacher just under a year ago. Throughout her dancing career, she has danced competitively and choreographed for many local dance studios. She has danced professionally in the TV and film industry with Debbie Allen, Beyonce and on the George Lopez show. Shelby was a featured dancer in many parades and shows at the happiest place on earth ~ Disneyland! She has danced and cheered for the NBA and the NFL as a Los Angeles Clipper Girl and a San Diego Chargers Girl. Shelby currently attends Cal State Fullerton majoring in Broadcast Journalism and Communications with hopes to become a Sports Journalist.

BBoy Mookie, one of the most talented BBOys of Sickstep Crew & formally of LA Breakers, he is an individual who loves life and everything that comes with it. Wwith his extensive background in dance and choreography, his work has been showcased all over the dance scene. His credits include KRS ONE, Justin Timberlake (MY LOVE), Americas Best Dance Crew, Robin In The Hood In Dublin, Ireland, Digital Underground, IPOD commercials, Stuff Magazine, Teen Magazine, The Source Magazine, SP Magazine, Rock The Bells, Make a wish foundation, Hip Hop Harry TV show, Out for fame, Hip Hop International, Maxt out 2007, pmx video game expo, Hip Hop Live in Seattle. Mookie has taught in Ireland, Russia, Santa Barbara, Palm Springs, Las Vegas, L.A. , Boston, Minnesota, Denmark, Canada, & many more places to come.
